Many independent, private, and boarding high schools require the results of the SSAT, ISEE, or HSPT test for admission or to determine course placement. At Broder Tutoring Center, we offer confidence-boosting, test-taking practice with REAL tests to ensure that your student is prepared to show all he/she knows. Many schools use the results of these tests along with the rest of the student’s packet to determine acceptance. Both tests measure verbal and quantitative reasoning skills.

We break down our test prep into three areas: verbal skills, math skills, and test-taking skills. Our students are encouraged to take a practice test (with accommodations if granted by the testing company). We use these results to plan an appropriate plan for test prep tutoring based on the strengths and needs garnered from this evaluation.

The individualized SSAT/ISEE/HSPT program allows the tutor to adjust the study program to your child’s needs, providing a lesson plan that will focus extra attention where your child needs the most help. Our one-on-one, individualized tutoring approach will help your child to achieve his or her best result on the SSAT and ISEE exams.

Just wanted to tell you the good news: we got Eli’s SSAT scores back this week, and we are delighted with how well he did! He scored 90% on verbal, 95% on math, and 80% on reading, for an overall score in the 92nd percentile. Max and Debbie really did a fantastic job with him. When you consider that on his practice SSAT in August he scored 50% on verbal, 53% on math, and 53% on reading, that’s quite an improvement!!!"
