
Libby Adray Cassidy
Libby has been a dedicated educator for over 20 years in both private and public schools. She earned her master’s degree in Secondary Special Education from the University of Maryland and has experience team teaching Biology, Matter & Energy, US History, NSL Government, and various levels of English, as well as study skills, time management, and organization in the resource room. While teaching in a private school, Libby taught Academic Support where she worked one-on-one and in small groups, organizing students and teaching them study skills. Most recently, she teaches AP Government as well as Honors Government and US History.
A part of the team at Jill Broder's since the spring of 2005, she primarily works with high school students, focusing on organizational skills, attention, and learning differences in all subject areas. She practices a collaborative approach to student success. By developing trusted relationships and working as a team with parents/guardians, students, and other stakeholders, she believes that students become lifelong learners with positive academic outcomes.
Libby has reviewed and written both IEPs and accommodation plans for students. She has a successful track record in supporting writing essays and personal statements for both college applications and high school admission applications, as well as general class content. Libby is also quite knowledgeable in the accommodation process for the College Board (SAT & AP) and ACT. She is certified by the College Board to teach AP classes.
A devoted wife, dog mom, and aunt, she finds joy in creating memories with her 7 nieces and nephews. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a far-off adventure, she loves exploring new places with her husband. In the summer, you can usually find her on a sun-kissed beach with a good book or checking off ballparks on her baseball bucket list.
