
Kerrin Torres
Kerrin has been an educator for over 15 years in Maryland public schools and holds active certifications in Special Education, ESOL, English and Administrator I/II. She earned her master’s degree in English from Bowie State University and has experience teaching various levels of English to all students including those with academic and emotional disabilities and Emerging Multilingual Learners. Kerrin also has experience working with students on study skills, time management and organization. As a Special Educator, Kerrin has reviewed and written both IEPs and accommodation plans for students.
Before becoming a public school administrator, Kerrin served as a Department Chair, Staff Development Teacher and Academic Studies lead teacher where she led a team of teachers focused on helping hundreds of students earn graduation requirements after illness, school separation or major life changes.
A part of Jill Broder's team since the fall of 2023, she primarily works with secondary students, focusing on content teaching, organizational and study skills, attention and learning differences in all subject areas. Kerrin’s core values are family, collaboration and belonging. She brings these values to the team as she is working with parents/guardians, students and other stakeholders. Kerrin believes that all students can be successful with an individualized plan and support.
She is married to her middle school sweetheart. They share three children and three dogs. Kerrin loves reading, listening to all kinds of music, traveling with her family, watching movies with her husband, exploring in the woods and exercising with the Peleton community.
