
Fay Gold
Fay Gold has spent the last nine years in the field of education and has been with the tutoring center since 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Master of Arts in political communications both from the University of Maryland. Before changing careers, Fay spent over 20 years in marketing and public relations working on behalf of trade associations and high-tech companies.
Within education, Fay has worked in various paraeducator positions in both middle and elementary schools within MCPS and provides reading interventions for students with dyslexia and other learning disabilities. She is trained in Orton-Gillingham and has UFLI certification as a Foundational Literacy Paraeducator. At the center, Fay specializes in elementary and middle school education (grades 1-8), including developing reading and writing skills and math skills.
Fay is an expert at teaching Eureka math, helping students develop “math sense” rather than rote memorization. Fay has shown to not only develop her student’s academic skills but also increase confidence through her unique tutoring methods. In her spare time, Fay enjoys reading, attending live music events, and spending time with her family.
