Jill Broder’s Tutoring Center is available to support your child’s educational needs from grades K-12 through the learn-at-home process. Whether your child will be attending school full-time, part-time, or homeschooling using an online platform or another program, our tutors are ready and available to provide support in a variety of areas, including:
-
academic tutoring
-
organizational coaching
-
enrichment
-
skill-development tutoring.
We have many options available to fit your child’s learning needs:
BRODER ACCREDITED ACADEMY is a complete multi-sensory, self-paced, online, accredited program. A partnership between Broder Accredited Academy and The Keystone School, the program uses Keystone’s K-12 materials and curriculum. Other than a small shipping fee, all materials are included in the price; there are no hidden fees. Parents pay for the program offered by The Keystone School at Keystone’s prices, and Jill Broder’s Tutoring Center does not profit from this arrangement. If needed, we offer tutoring/learning coaching at our hourly fees. You may use as much or as little of our help as necessary to complete the course.
Students have one year to complete the course. If needed, a four-month extension may be granted to finish the program. Most students find that each class requires about 30 minutes to an hour a day. (Note: Homeschooling requires less time than a brick-and-mortar school day.)
Co-op and pod schools are not in compliance with MCPS standards, but your student can complete our program while meeting in the co-op or pod format. This system is considered homeschooling and requires two (2) meetings per year to demonstrate to your MCPS homeschool representative the work that has been completed. Broder Accredited Academy will help you prepare for these meetings. We are here to support your student by offering to meet virtually with small groups or individuals to support their learning, either as the tutor or the organizational coach.
Please note: Some courses can be completed apart from the Keystone Program. PE, art and music, for example, are required but need not be accomplished through a formal curriculum. MCPS requires evidence of instruction, and we can work with you to design an approved program for your child.
We are here to help you navigate this difficult time and find an appropriate, safe solution for your children!
